CPS Guest Designer Call!
How would you like to be a guest designer here at CPS?! As you might guess the CPS designers are always busy working on crafty projects and with summer coming that means even less time creating. Label Tulip May Challenge with RAK!

There's a challenge going on at Label Tulip and a chance to win some fun things!

So, here's the challenge for May...

Rather than focusing on products or techniques, this month's challenge is more about the content of your page. Scrap something that nobody knows about you. It doesn't have to be some earth-shattering secret. It could be a funny story from when you were little, a hobby that nobody knows you're interested in, a page about how you still collect Beanie Babies. Don't worry, your secret is safe with us!

So, get those secrets down on paper and uploaded here by June 18th for the chance to win a RAK put together by Label Tulip! Here's the thread to this information.

You can see some of the ideas the design team had for this same challenge in the gallery!

And, here's a peek of the gorgeous RAK:

Melissa Frances guest designer

This month it has been my privilege to guest design for the lovely Melissa Frances company! It's always so sweet, gorgeous, pretty and fun to work with! So, be sure to go check out their blog and products. Here are two of the layouts I made with their yummy things (ribbon, diecuts, rubons, papers...). Still a few more things that will be shared on the Melissa Frances blog! tfl!

the playgroup hits the Beach!

Watch out beach because here comes the playgroup!

We had so much fun this morning at the beach!! Our playgroup gathered for sand, surf and sunny fun! We ran, splashed, had snacks, played, laughed and soaked up the beach experience. Then, after several hours, it was off to Joe's crab shack on the beach for lunch... and, singing, and ... joining in with the wait staff to boogey down with the music several times! A little play time on the playground, ice cream and it was a fun time! Here are a few pics to share!!

Scotch/3m and Piggy Tales!

Decided I'd share my scotch/3M and Piggy Tale projects from this month all in one post. All were made with It's raining, It's pouring line from Piggy Tales! They have just released two new lines you will want to check out too!

Ok, so, here ya go! We're off to the park this morning as it's finaly NOT raining to meet some of our playgroup friends! These kids have some major energy to run off!

Rainy Season
This page is about my neices and nephew in Zambia. They have a tradition to get out and play in the first rain of the rainy season in Africa. I made the clouds more 3d by using Scotch's pop up foam squares under some of the circles of the cloud.

Pretty simple card using mostly the rubons from it's raining its pouring line. tfl!

Dad of Four!

The new Memory Makers Magazine is out and, as most of you in the scrappy world know, their last issue is just a few months away. I love this layout about my brother becoming the father of his fourth child, Luke. It's too funny with his play panicked look on his face as I know how much Josh loves his wee little ones - you can read about their family and their life as missionaries in Zambia here.

Made this page with a Label Tulip kit from a few months ago. tfl

Also, here's a picture of the kids with their umbrellas this week... it's the first morning all week that it hasn't been raining... we'll see how long it lasts!

lots of layering here. I also turned the felt branch upside down, traced around it and colored in with colored pencil. The scalloped edges of the Crate paper was cut off then the center of that paper was put up on pop up adhesive. Then, the scallops were tucked under the edges of it. tfl!

Congrats! Rock on Alexander- PreK grad!

My little man is attending his last day of PreK today! He will be playing with his friends and having a pizza party. Graduation from PreK was Wednesday night and I am sharing a few pictures! I was a little sad that they didn't give us moms time to snap any pics of the kids in their caps and gowns except for the ones I got while he came walking down the aisle. So, here are a few of the photos I did get!
Alexander was so funny during the graduation- he kept waving at us every few minutes. The kids sang, quoted Bible verses, etc. Then, they called each name and gave them a little diploma and told what they wanted to be when they grow up- Alexander said "a airplane flyer"!
Audrey kept saying "That's my brother!" So sweet! Meme and Pappy came to see and celebrate too! I actually got sentimental this morning as I put away his lunch pail he's been using all year long. sniff.... ok.

So, along with this post I wanted to share the card I made for the cps sketch this week that is a congrats card. I used all yummy Melissa Frances products on this one!

Congrats! Rock on card.

May and I'm sharing Christmas stuff!

Elegant Snowball Decor.
I used a two different sized hole punch and punched tons of circles from scribble scrabble's Suzy Snowflake patterned paper. I covered the ball with the round papers, buttons and straight pins. Then, I used glimmer mist on tattered angels swirly chipboard and attached to the top of my snowball. tfl!

Joy frames.
Simple project using Scribble Scrabble's Suzy Snowflake collection once again! tfl!

My little guy graduates tonight from PreK~ I'll be sure to share some photos with you soon! Have a wonderful day!

Mothers Day Tea party!

Hey everyone!
Today was just too sweet. Alexander's PreK class (along with a few others at his school) hosted a Muffins with Mommy Mother's day tea party! We arrived in the lunchroom area to find roses, a wall of art (they were pictures our children made of us and we had to guess which one was our portrait - mine is number 7 the blond down on the far left with the blue. Then, we sat down with our kids to eat muffins, petifours, etc! So sweet and fun! The kids had made placemats and sweet cards... by the way... according to Alexander I am 25 years old, and we have the most fun playing games together! hee!

So, wanted to share two sneak peeks of the next kit- Lollipop Forest at Label Tulip. There are also three or four sneaks up here... you will want to check it out on the 15th because these kits are fab!!! I heart the add-ons. I am currently working with the Little Bitty Pretty one right now!!!!

Happy Mother's day everyone!
