and more!

Wow. My mother-in-law is coming into town tomorrow. I work quite a bit this weekend! My little guy starts preK Tuesday. I have a lot of extra things going on this next week~ so, it seems fitting that the cps blog should be having a "and more" special to our sketch this coming week! cps 80 will have the normal cards "and more"... so, here's a peek at my card and a little of my "and more" ...

Day album

I created this to go along with the room decor I shared in a previous post. I thought it'd be cute to flip thru during the week; each day has a different saying! Made using Chatterbox Ecelectique papers, stickers, chipboard. tfl!

one last thing today

for those who remember the horrible tragedy of Stephen Curtis Chapman losing his daughter in a tragic accident months ago you may want to listen to the 3-part interview with James Dobson here... just click on listen to daily broadcast and you should find the interviews.

Chatterbox stuff!

Well, the final word is supposed to be tomorrow... so far, no email for me, but tomorrow is supposed to be the announcement of the new Chatterbox design team.
So, I decided it's time to share my projects for the design team callback here on my blog (not to mention the fact that my talented friend Stacey shared her amazing callback work on her blog- a must see- so, here I am giving in to peer pressure that she probably never intended! wink!).
Even if I don't get on the team, it's been so fun to play with the Chatterbox products! Ok, enough rambling... I won't share the layout yet... you'll have to check back for that, but here's my altered project made with the Ecelectique line, the album is from the artsylicious kohl collection!
There is a flip album that can be used as a display- as seen in the first pic... I'll share more of that later this week too! tfl.

a cps 79 peek!

just a wee look! you'll have to check out the cps blog tomorrow for the sketch and a look at the cards!

what a storm

well, we are fortunate to have power. Lots of people in town without it... at one point they saw some places that looked like tornadoes near here. Thank goodness they never fully formed! BUT we had tons of rain... somewhere between 7-9 inches in the last 3 days! These are from the street through our neighborhood! Hopefully it wont rain too much more!

a dark and stooormy, croaking night!

wow! the wind was realllly blowing around last night. pounding the rain into the side of the house. The frogs sound like they have taken over our back yard! Seriously, the croaking they do at night is sooooo LOUD it sounds like we're in a swamp! I'm sure this is romantic weather for them! Most of the bridges have closed in town. We have not lost power. They called from the hospital this morning begging me to come to work, but as the children cannot take care of themselves I had to say no. Hopefully they'll find some that can come in in this weather!

tropical storm today

well, thank goodness Fay didn't turn into a hurricane, but she's definately made this week a strange one... schools are out, church cancelled, Alexander's school orientation cancelled, rain, clouds, wind, trying to figure out what's going on with this storm!anyways! Here we are today staying at the house! Alexander and Audrey have been playing a long time piling toys in a little corner of her room, playing train, car and who knows what else! They're so funny! Here's the view from our window and one of the wet street! I think the rain, etc. supposed to get worse today as the storm comes closer to us. We don't live in a flooding zone, so we should be good! Hope your day is a little less wet and dreary!

On a happier note: Memory Maker's Master winners for 2008 have been announced. A few of my "friends" from the scrappy world won and I'm so happy for Anabelle and Jaime!!!

Rainy Wednesday

I'm kind of liking the rain outside this morning... makes me feel like I don't have to be anywhere or worry about getting out! I do have to do laundry! Hope you're having a great day! I stayed up last night watching the Olympics! I've always loved them. Four years ago when Alexander was born I was up thru the night and I would watch the Olympics as I took care of him. I also almost finished a layout and used my Cricut!!! No, I didn't buy it... got it from being published in Paper Trends, Scrapbook Trends and Cards magazine the past few months! Talk about a nice surprise when I saw that on my doorstep! The rainy weather is keeping me from taking pics of my latest work, but I'll share the rest of my cps card from this week here! Our sponsor this week was Inque Boutique stamps! Loved this Halloween line and it worked perfectly with the new Halloween line from Cosmo Cricket! I stamped the bats onto dark paper and cut them out!

We have a 4 year old!

Well, he was really born at 9:13pm but we're celebrating Alexander's Birthday all day long! We've already had pancakes with a candle on top and a few small presents! Here he is ... I tried to get a good one, but as you can see, he's already learning how to be a little boy instead of a baby! hee! Alexander, we love you buddy and Very Happy Birthday to YOU!
Also, made a quick card last night with some yummy Chatterbox Ecelectique papers and tags! tfl! Have a great day!

what a week!

Audrey has been sick all week... she actually ate a bit this morning, but she has a rash.... I used to get them quite a bit when I was young... so, here I am at home on a Saturday when I was supposed to be at work... but I want to be here to take care of my little sugar pop!

I haven't got much done that I can share with you this week... I did get my Chatterbox call back layout and project done! whew! There were a few cards I made for the Paper Crafts call that I actually forgot to submit. It's just been too crazy with little one being ill. BUT. I do have a sneek of my card for this weeks card positioning system's sketch! I really like this one and we have a great sponsor! You're going to want to check it all out Sunday!

the stinkometer rates this day...

that's what i told Audrey today... it's been a 10 on the stinkometer as far as days went today for her. Poor sugarpop started getting sick with a fever yesterday afternoon... ended up at the doctor at 4pm today... her temp was 104 when they took it under her wee little arm! (after we had waited in the waiting room an hour to work her in, not complaining as they had to squeeze her in though). Long story short- they think it's viral and she'll just have to sweat it out... so, more tylenol in her future...

I've been trying to put my Chatterbox design team call-back projects together! Whew! I should know better than to check out who my competition is! There is so much talent in the names of those who received call backs! Wow! Tomorrow I'll try to share a card made using the super wonderful Chatterbox artsylicious products!

Thanks for reading!

I got tagged by Lea!

my friend Lea tagged me the other day. I have had the pleasure of meeting her thru the card positioning system's team. She is a real sweet lady, a fellow Christian and I think her work is fabulous! Go check her out! I'm just now getting to answering the random questions, etc... so, here it goes!

1. I really don't like cats
2. My favorite colors are white, pink and light green.
3. The last song I listened to was "Straw-baw-baw-baw-ba berry... shortcake" theme song with my daughter! ya, try gettin' that one out of your head!
4. I'm a reluctant spender- seriously, ask my mom and my hubby!
5. Definately was not the popular girl at school.
6. Enjoy trying to make up harmonies to songs!

now, i'm supposed to think of people to tag....hmm....

Happy Birthday dear Brian!

Yesterday was Brian's 35th Birthday! We celebrated this weekend with balloons, cake and a little party with the family! I think the kids enjoyed it a lot too! Happy Birthday honey!
