Sharing some new creations!

It's a rainy morning outside. Kinda nice in a way as it means I don't want to do any running around this morning except to drop of Alexander to preK. Audrey doesn't seem to feel well... she woke up with a fever last nite at 4am and insisted on not going back to her bed but sleeping with mommy...

I do have a few creations to share today...

First, the new sketch is up at cps- number 112 to be exact!

Gram Card- april's label tulip kit used on this one: cardstock- Bazzill, patterned paper- Lilly Bee, Sassafras, Pink Paislee. chipboard, rubon, letter stickers, brads- Pink Paislee. pearls- Prima. ribbon- American Crafts.

Next up is this little card made using Piggy Tales 2nd generation barndoors, silver bells, cockle shells, quite contrary and build a rubon from mary mary quite contrary line. i thought this would be cute for a little girl's garden party birthday invite!

And, last up, I wanted to use up the cool Prima dried flowers from this month's label tulip kit... and, what could be more perfect than Piggy Tale's Flower Press with them!

Framed Flower Press

So, I just arranged my flowers in the press, placed on some piggy tales solid colored paper by pulling off the adhesive strip behind the metal on the press. Then, I placed it on a photo mat and put it in my frame! tfl!

Easter pics

Sorry for posting them a bit late... been a bit busy the past few days~

so, here's a bit of our day today.... i know i shared this elsewhere, but it's too cute not to share with family that's reading...

t's been quite the hoot today... no power for most of it till just about 7pm had it in the morning then zilch!

a big windy storm came thru and our neighborhood was pretty struck by it... no big damage but it was trash day and trash is everywhere and other small yard things are blown everywhere, small limbs down, etc...

we ate at chik-fil-a for dinner....

it's been a hoot trying to explain to my 4 and 2 year old kiddos why things dont work when there's no power....

i even asked alexander 4- what would you do if there were no chikfilas and no power... he said you'd just starve!

I tried to teach him some 4 year old survival strategies!
then, he told me we just needed to get in the attic and change the batteries on the house

AND.... then, Alexander aid he wanted to give me a kiss today so I went over to where he was sitting... and I said "where's my kiss?" and he says.... down in my heart and he gave me a sweet little smooch! talk about sweet!

ok, done with the mushy mommy stuff...
Last Saturday my mom and dad came over in the afternoon and we did our Easter egg hunt in the back yard. Then, we went off to eat burgers at 5guys.. never had their food before... those burgers are amazing~ so much for the traditional Easter holiday meal, but mom and I just didn't feel up to it this year!~
Then, back home to my coconut cake that dad asked for... his Birthday was on the 8th so we celebrated that too~ Have a happy day!

Alexander's PreK Easter egg hunt!

Today was Alexander's PreK Easter egg hunt! He had a great time finding eggs and showing me the little chirpy chick they had made in his class. We all ate as families and friends on the lawn after the hunt- such a great picnic. Then we played on the playground before going home! Super fun and the weather today was completely perfect!

and now, some cards I made using the April Create My Keepsake kit!I used some of the Teresa Collins journal it spots for the base of my cards here. I cut out the shapes, mounted them onto colored cardstock and cut around the shape making sure to leave a colored, cardstock edge around the journaling shape. Next, I placed the shape onto a cardstock base! Thanks for looking!

Adoption day love

made this for cmk's Wednesday Words challenge using the April cmk kit! This morning's Wednesday Words challenge is to use sound effect words in your journaling (zoom, swoosh, vroom, etc.) or title! Add a little zing to your journaling by thinking of your favorite comic strip or descriptive sound effect for your page! I used lots of sounds animals make to describe the stuffed friends we made at build a bear (woof, meow, grr.). Have fun!

Fun family stuff!

We interupt this scrappy stuff to bring you... family updates!!

So, Alexander has been out of preK for Spring Break this past week... here's what we've been up to...
We found a swingset/play set on sale at Walmart last Saturday, bought it and Brian (thanks Scott and Chris) started the 10 hour process of putting it together~.
Meme and Pappy had two sweet visitors at their house Sunday after church till Tuesday afternoon... cupcakes were made, eggs were dyed and McDonalds was eaten along with a trip to a fabulous park... (mom and dad actually went on a date!!!).
Here's a pic of the kiddos enjoying the swingset!

Then, today, we decided to hope for the best with the weather today (called for rain) and head out to Green Cove Springs for the Clay County Agricultural Fair. Dad had the day off and we had a great time!

Audrey and Alexander loved the rides! We saw pigs race (there are four heats, each heat has 5 pigs race.. each time there's a heat the man asks for "hog wild cheerleaders" for each pig... one was named Clay Bacon ha!... and Alexander was the cheerleader in the third heat... poor buddy cried when his little pig didn't win the race... aaaw... Alexander recovered quickly.. we ate icecream, shaved ice, cotton candy! Then, we saw this fun show with real aligators!! cool! We saw a bunch of animals, a butterfly exhibit, tractors and more!~ So much fun today! whew! thanks for letting me share!
