Sunday School teacher appreciation day...
is this coming Sunday. I decided to make use these little Target dollar spot felt watering cans and put lollipop flowers in them. Now, I know many have done the lollipop flowers- not my original idea. But this was quick as I simply used some older Urban Lily diecut flowers that I had in my stash. Simply punched a large hole in the middle and placed the lollipops in the hole. We do appreciate the sacrifice made and love given to our children by these wonderful people!

Deconditioned
ya. not working full time as a RN any more... my bladder isn't able to last as long and neither are my poor legs. i worked today and am off again tomorrow... rare for me to work two days in a row. and they're only 8 hour shifts for goodness sake... I've turned into a softy! that's ok. it's all so I can be home with my darling children!
by the way... the sweet sounds of my children singing in the back seat to veggie tales and praise music. my son whispering "i love you mommy" as i tuck him in at night and my daughters "mama's" with happy smiles are so sweet these days. i can't even tell you! ok. off to bed... it's not even 10pm.... wow!

Go Speed!
Well, a few weeks ago we went to the clay county fair. Alexander's favorite ride was the race car one... it was for little kids... just sit in and it takes you round the track at a steady speed... until you reach the two turns... then, the car races and whips around the corner! woohoo! Alexander loved it... he rode it... um, sevvveral times! Thank goodness I had my zoom lens and action setting to capture his smiling face. So, here's my page about it using Scrapmode's uturn, spaceport pp, some brads and a fun font (i need to go remember the name of it, lol.) tfl!

as we're getting ready to go camping but wanted to share some pics from our big day yesterday... the am was spent at a park downtown with our playgroup.
the afternoon was spent going to the clay county agricultural fair with Meme.
we saw a PIG RACE!
Alexander on his favorite ride... i cannot believe I got this shot (thank you zoom lens and action setting).
Audrey and I on the merry go round... the only ride she really liked! Alexander enjoyed driving the big tractors!

hands full but heart fuller...
i saw this today on a layout someone posted on 2peas... loved the saying when it comes to my children it's true. sometimes it amazes me how some really make it seem like children are simply in the way, inconvenient, etc. well, many times it may be a little true. BUT you know what I love? those little illustrated stories from the Bible where Jesus tells His disciples to let the children come to him. Then, he laid his hands on them and blessed them! What a Savior we have who loves children, likes children! So, here are some pics of us in our everyday routine....
oh, Audrey did get a new booster chair for the table... she's been eating from the highchair till now... she's so excited about it.
and, the other photo is of Audrey and Alexander this morning... first thing after dad left for work they wanted in the chair together!
our big accomplishments for the day: made a tent out of sheets, played playdough, read, colored, went on a walk to the duck pond and fed ducks, listened to a new cd of nursery rhyme songs, played an educational video game, ate lunch, made dinner, watched a bit of cartoons.... and more but not neccessarily all in that order! thanks for reading my ramblings!

2. I used to think making cards from scratch was not for me! (eek!)
3. I love ladybugs.
4. My husband and i met while playing volleyball at a church function... I acted like I didn't know which way to rotate on the court so I could talk to him... of course, he didn't know that I took Volleyball in college.. snort!
5. I refuse to clean up the kitty litter after my hubby's cat... it's only mine by marriage and that was my firm understanding was no litter box duty for me... ugh.
