I was so thrilled to have been asked to write and article for Somerset Memories on my family album for their April May issue that is out now... if you haven't seen this magazine go get it... It's gorgeous! Here's the album that they have pictured:

scrapmode's giraffe

saying happy birthday! scrapmode stamps, glitter pens. I first stamped the giraffe with brown CI ink onto yellow cardstock, colored with yellow glitter pen then handcut the giraffe out. Next, I stamped the same image (the greeting is included on the stamp) onto the blue cardstock base and simply placed my cut out giraffe over the stamped image. done! tfl.

Beth Moore....

well, My mom bought me a ticket for the Beth Moore conference this weekend...
So, we go Friday night. The praise music was spectacular. It was wonderful to worship with at least 14,000 other women! Then, Beth Moore shared a Christ filled message! She was talking about Paul in Philippians where he talks about striving for what is ahead... tobe like Christ. She talked about taking hold of whatever God took hold of us for. She spoke of the simple truth that our future is ahead of us... we don't need to look back at past success or failures (both can hinder) but look ahead and chase Christ. She pointed out that many of us are weary in running the race of the Christian life because we've stopped chasing after Christ. Awesome truths.

THEN.

Saturday morning I woke up with a migraine, nausea.... My mom picked me up, we got all the way downtown and I then knew I wasn't going to make it. Mom started driving me home and I did get sick on the way. ugh. I recovered by afternoon but obviously did miss the rest of the conference. I am thankful I got to hear the truths I did...

God, help us persue after you. Help me not to look behind me when you have new things ahead. Give me the desire to persue after You with all my heart.

AC black accent clear stickers (I placed the clear stickers over patterned paper then cut out the flowers on many of the flowers. journaling: OUr little pixie is more like an angel to us. it's SPRINGTIME

this past week I met some of our playgroup at the park and the kids just started picking all these little "flowers" growing there! Angie was nice enough to snap some pics of my kids and thought I'd share a few! Happy Spring everyone!

Fighting Fire with Cuteness?!

What fun we had this morning. Angie arranged for us to visit a fire station where a relative works and it was so cool....
Alexander got to get in the trucks, spray with the hose and everyone got the cute fire hats and badges!!! Tooo fun!

Teddy Bear Picnic

sounds cute, right...
well, it had to be moved indoors due to the wet ground from all the rain we got last night....
so, not many good pics but we did have a nice time.
Alexander didn't want to ride the noisy bubble train and didn't want his face painted but he did get Easter eggs and a build a bear!!

Ya Know WHAT?

ya. that's the phrase dad and I get to hear on average of 70 times a day at the very least here at our house. Yep. fun! Alexander seems to start every sentence with this beloved phrase~ ha!
Yesterday little girl ran right into the edge of some furniture and she now has a bit of a purpleish bruise beside her eye today but nothing major.

hehe happy autumn?

so, made a couple of fall cards yesterday. ya. fall... just to confuse everyone!
On the autumn card I used Reminisce shades of autumn - autumn phrase pp, autumn phrase stickers, Autumn nights pp. tfl!
For the fall card I used Reminisce stickers. Just Johanna pinecone, acorn and leaf stamps. Scenic Route pp with the tree that I cut out. tfl!
