Happy New Year's Eve!!!
It's the last day of 2008! wow! We spent our morning out with our playgroup friends. We ventured downtown to the Kids Campus where there's lots to do - ride tricycles, play in the sand, draw with sidewalk chalk, slide, climb, eat lunch, play with the tether ball... whew! So, we had a really fun time! Wishing you all a very Happy New Year!!!!

what I've been up to...
So, this month I'm getting to have fun being the guest designer for Paper Trunk- they are a great manufacturer so please be sure to check out their product. One of the coolest things about their company is that they used recyled materials, vegetable ink and other environmentally friendly materials. Here's a page I just made with their products...
FLY.
I love the yummy colors of this paper trunk paper! so fun! I used paper trunk's 1974 papers mixed with a bit of their jelly bean paper and their fun jot!! this is a pic of my brother and my niece! tfl!
Oh, and here's another peek at a layout I made using the December kit at Label Tulip...
After I picked up Alexander from preK today we headed to Meme's house. We baked and decorated cookies together! The kids had a blast, especially Audrey. They also got to play with Meme and Pappy while we were there!

bye bye baby bed....
yes, it's time. past time. It was time to get our little baby crib and changing table out of the house. Now, they're in the garage and hopefully on their way to another home (and, all you people saying that's a sure sign of an announcement soon.... boo hiss and don't even THINK about it!). Back on point... So, Amy's mom was so sweet to give us a girl's toddler bed. We got it tonight and I think Audrey was quite smitten. She got in and didn't want out. We're still moving things around and rearranging her room, but here's a quick pic I took of her in her big girl bed... and, yes, I did tear up... bye bye baby bed-- hello big girl~

It's Christmas time!
Yesterday was fun! First, thank you for all your well wishes! It made my day!!! Brian had the day off and I got to shop (although I'm not usually a big buyer)- I bought some stuff from the craft store, a cool new shirt and some yummy smelling stuff from Bath and Body Works! It's their new fragrance, Vanilla Noir! "# Our exclusive Vanilla Noir fragrance is a tantalizing scent that transforms Madagascar vanilla into pure glamour
# Key fragrance notes: Madagascar Vanilla, Dark Vanilla Bean, Black Plum, Bergamot Orange and Warm Musk". Makes me think of all those film noir movies Brian watches!
We walked around the mall with the kids in the afternoon, just relaxing. They played in the little play area and then we all ate out at Panera Bread! I had soup and: Orchard Harvest
Field greens, crisp romaine, dried cherries, fresh pears, Gorgonzola, toasted pecans & our cherry balsamic vinaigrette. Then, it was home for How the Grinch Stole Christmas and a Strawberry Shortcake birthday cake!
and...ya. we're in the spirit! We put up our tree Friday after Thanksgiving! It took me a while to track down my Christmas music, but that didn't stop us from busting out the Christmas village, tree and other decorations! The kids loved it! Alexander especially loved hanging the ornaments. He put them all on one small section of the tree, but I just let him do whatever he wanted. His little face was so happy, proud and excited. It's amazing to watch your children as they create their own memories of things, especially Christmas. I pray that they will remember these times as happy and unforgettable moments... I sure will... ok, enough of the sappy mommy.
Everyone I know is super busy this time of year... I honestly have not been scrapping and creating as much as normal. Tonight, for instance, I studied for my ACLS recertification class that I'm taking next week! FUN.
but, I did get to see the the new kits for December at Label Tulip. no sneaks for you yet, but I'll letcha know! make sure you check out the stamp and previous kits on sale!
I do have one wee card I can share... hope you all are having a blessed day, Charity
