I am back from CHA~

So, would you like to look at some of the goodies from CHA... also, gotta share a few photos of some ladies I met there! Wish I could have carried a camera each day, but too much to keep up with in such a busy place.

First up. A photo of myself and Amy Tara Koeppel who I have "known" from the online scrapping world for a while now! She is just as kind and sweet in person as I though she would be! Wish we could have spent even more time together girly!


Next up, I met two Garden Girls (Cindy Liebel and Wendy Bretz) along with one of their friends! They were all so fun and funny!




Then, I was able to meet the fabulous Keri Lee Sereika, Jeanne Streiff and Kimber McGray - I know their work and am on the Card Positioning Systems team. I was only able to get a photo with myself, Kimber and Jeanne! Keri had her new baby with her that is adorable and Kimber was across the aisle from me in her booth so we got to chat a bit - she's so fun! Loved seeing them!



I will be loading tons of CHA 2009 photos on the Label Tulip blog along with some of the other Label Tulip girls who were there if you want tons of close-up photos of the projects, papers and other new releases this year!

Also, wanted to share my layout using today's Friday Formula at Create My Keepsake. The page was made with supplies from the July kit there as well!

Everyday Life.
I used the huge tag that was actually the Making Memories cork sticker packaging and covered it with patterned papers! Photo is of Audrey cheering on a pig at the county fair pig race a while back. tfl.

Summer

Well, today was interesting. This evening while driving to Chik-fil-a to have a goodbye meal for my friend AnnaMaria with our playgroup, people were pulled over on the side of the road ... then, I saw it too... a huge .. well, at the time I thought it was a tornado but turns out it was a giant funnel cloud over the river in our city. It was a chilling sight. I was nowhere near it but just to see such a giant funnel in the distance. wow. Anyways!




This page is made using the June kit at create my keepsake and today's Friday Formula sketch. The picture is of my friend Anna Maria's girl Ava. Anna Maria and her family are moving tomorrow about five hours away and we will miss them so.

Alexander's PreK Easter egg hunt!

Today was Alexander's PreK Easter egg hunt! He had a great time finding eggs and showing me the little chirpy chick they had made in his class. We all ate as families and friends on the lawn after the hunt- such a great picnic. Then we played on the playground before going home! Super fun and the weather today was completely perfect!




and now, some cards I made using the April Create My Keepsake kit!I used some of the Teresa Collins journal it spots for the base of my cards here. I cut out the shapes, mounted them onto colored cardstock and cut around the shape making sure to leave a colored, cardstock edge around the journaling shape. Next, I placed the shape onto a cardstock base! Thanks for looking!

Adoption day love

made this for cmk's Wednesday Words challenge using the April cmk kit! This morning's Wednesday Words challenge is to use sound effect words in your journaling (zoom, swoosh, vroom, etc.) or title! Add a little zing to your journaling by thinking of your favorite comic strip or descriptive sound effect for your page! I used lots of sounds animals make to describe the stuffed friends we made at build a bear (woof, meow, grr.). Have fun!

Love the new Jenni Bowlin and Graphic45 yummies in the March create my keepsake kit! so fun! Made the flowers from some ribbon in the kit and painted the cherries with some red acrylic paint from MM to make them stand out a bit more! tfl.
