Tea Party

Last week at this time I was at the local Tea Party Rally downtown. My dad went with me. It was really great- you could tell the people there are just normal people- moms, dads, grandma's, even children were there. We sang the national anthem, pledged to the flag and prayed for our country. We cheered for our armed forces personnel. It was entirely friendly and upbeat. Here are a few photos. It is such a blessing to live in a country where we can peacefully express our views.

Forgot the Fair?!

This one's going to be photo heavy! I'll be back sharing some scrappy stuff later this week! I forgot to share a few of the photos I took last Friday at the Clay County Agricultural Fair! It has seriously become one of my all time favorite things to do each year! This year: Audrey rode a pony, clown show, frog jumping contest, pig races, lots of rides, petting animals and checking out the historic old florida area (women making yarn, honey, a real blacksmith working on horseshoes, etc.). We stayed for at least 8 hours and all had a blast!).

Spring Cards and the everglades

say what?
First, I wanted to post again some cards that have recently been published.

The May/June issue of Paper Crafts magazine is out and it is really gorgeous! I was fortunate to have one card picked up!

Here's my card:

Next up, some cards as seen in Craftsnthings magazine.

Spring has sprung as seen in Cards magazine..

Our spring break trip started and grandma's house then we went down to the Everglades... very fun! We took a 2 hour tour there... and saw a snake, tons of alligators, birds, etc. It was educational and interesting for us and hopefully the kids too... they liked finding the alligators as we went along.

Colored Eggs.

We are having fun celebrating Easter- including coloring eggs. We are also praising God for the gift of Jesus and thanking Jesus for paying so high a price for us on the cross.
love this song.
Steve Green- He holds the Keys..

Death rides blackened clouds across the sky
The Son of man lays down to die
With every pounding blow upon the nail
Thunder rumbles all through hell
And from death's barren womb the captives cry
Who is there to free us should He die

His grave becomes a door, He enters in
To face the author of all sin
Defying death and the grave He takes their keys
And with them every captive frees
And from death's barren womb the captives cry
Arise for our redemption draweth nigh

For He holds the keys
He holds the keys
And though we've been held captive
At long last we are free
For He holds the keys

Against the gates of hell I now resist
For the shackles that had torn my wrists
Lay before me now upon the ground
To sin I am no longer bound
For from death's barren womb
He heard my cry
And loosed the chains that bound me to a lie

And to all the things that have kept you away
That keep you defeated day after day after day
The heartache that nobody sees
That eats at your soul like a cruel disease
He who set the captives free
It is He, it is He who holds your keys

Playgroup fun and Good Friday.

Just a fun day playing at the park together- good playgroup friends.

I'm thinking about our Savior and the Cross today.

Philippians 2:8
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

When I survey the wondrous cross
on which the Prince of Glory died;
my richest gain I count but loss,
and pour contempt on all my pride.

Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast,
save in the death of Christ, my God;
all the vain things that charm me most,
I sacrifice them to his blood.

See, from his head, his hands, his feet,
sorrow and love flow mingled down.
Did e'er such love and sorrow meet,
or thorns compose so rich a crown.

Were the whole realm of nature mine,
that were an offering far too small;
love so amazing, so divine,
demands my soul, my life, my all.
